Drainage, Sanitation & Waste Management

The proposed interventions of the Drainage, Sanitation & Waste Management project will focus on improving the drainage system, the rehabilitation of others and the creation of essential facilities such as new culverts, new Irish crossing, upgrade of fences, removal of waste dump sites, new earth ditches, and new improved pit latrines. The project will also focus on 7″hotspots”(Banjul, Barra, Bundung, Brikama, Soma, Bansang and Basse), ” corresponding to locations of high density of population where the impact of the flooding was most severe.
